To start receiving these personalized offers, the GoMyWayVA® app just needs to know where you're headed. Here are three easy ways to make sure you never miss the opportunity for a reward:

1. Sync Your Calendar

Let the app do the work for you. By syncing your calendar and adding a valid address to your appointment, the app will understand you have an upcoming trip and alert you to incentives if an incident is affecting your trip.

• Just go to Account → Trip Settings → Link Calendar.

  
  

2. Save a Trip in Advance

Planning a doctor's appointment or a weekend getaway? Save your trip at least an hour beforehand so the app can monitor your route.

• Search: Enter your destination.

• Schedule: Adjust the date and time at the top of the screen.

• Save: Tap "Save" and choose driving mode.

• Ready to go: Your trip will pop up on your home screen the day before you leave.

  
  

3. Use the App for Your Routine

If you frequently travel to the same spots—like the office, the gym, or school—use the GoMyWayVA® app to navigate to those locations. Then, the app will learn your routine trips. The more often you use GoMyWayVA® during your daily commute, the better it can spot delays, find alternative travel options, and send offers your way.

Pro Tip: The best way to get rewarded is to simply use GoMyWayVA® regularly. The more "normal" your travel patterns become, the faster the app can identify when something is wrong and offer you an incentive to change your route or travel mode!

How Dynamic Incentives Work

There are two types of alerts and offers you can receive:

• Pre-Trip Alerts: Sent an hour or more before a scheduled or routine trip to warn of major congestion or delays.

• Real-Time Alerts: Delivered during your scheduled or routine trip to give you an immediate alternative when a major crash or work zone happens on the routes you may take.

These timely alerts give you choices:

• Stick with your original route, or

• Explore smarter alternatives like transit, biking, walking, or taking a different route.

Each offer comes with higher rewards in GoMyWayVA® Coins tied to specific travel alternatives. You can accept an offer quickly by selecting Good to Go, use the Make a Deal feature to negotiate for more—up to three times per trip, or tap No Thanks to continue with more insights about your original plan—it’s always up to you.
