GoMyWayVA™ is a multi-modal transportation app that empowers commuters by using real-time data and dynamic incentives to improve travel safety, reliability, and mobility. The app enables Northern Virginia (NoVA) travelers to make travel choices that will save them time and money, and help reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, and reduce emissions.

The GoMyWayVA™ app offers a personalized approach to travel planning, with incentives to encourage travelers to:

• Change travel modes: Shift from single-occupancy vehicles (SOVs) to more efficient options like biking, walking, carpooling, or public transit.  

• Adjust travel routes: Choose alternative routes (but not routes that cut through neighborhoods) to bypass congestion caused by accidents or planned events.  

• Modify departure times: Travel during off-peak hours to ease traffic flow.  

 

The app will advance a progressive marketing approach with real-time dynamic incentives, short-term challenges, and long-term loyalty rewards to achieve both immediate and long-lasting behavioral changes. The app will promote a more sustainable and efficient transportation network in NoVA, with the potential for expansion across the Commonwealth.
